Overview:

Titan Poker is an expanding online poker card room. They use shared software and a shared network, allowing you to play a multitude of players from throughout the world. The software they use is developed by PlayTech, one of the most well known and respected online gambling software companies and a company with a history in the land-based casino market as well. They

Traffic:

Even as part of a large shared network of sites, Titan Poker still lacks high traffic on their ring games. At peak hours, you can expect no more than 1,500 people to be actively playing cash money ring games at any given time. I have on occasion, seen this spike to about 1,750, but it is something that rarely occurs.

Tournaments:

Despite the low amount of ring game traffic, the shared network utilized by TitanPoker shines in its tournaments. They attract a lot of tournament players, whether it be sit-n-goes or multi-table tournaments. They offer progressive special sit-n-goes that attract a fair number of players after a large payout (the $65 ones offer something upwards of $100,000 if you win 6 in a row). They also heavily promote multi-table tournaments, and routinely offer huge prize packages to land based events, including European Poker Tour events.

Software:

The software used at TitanPoker is a shared system developed by PlayTech, and is called the iPoker network. There are approximately 14 sites that share players and this software. So even though you’re playing at TitanPoker, you may be playing against someone at another site, but regardless, you’re still playing for money and winner takes all.

The graphics are clean and crisp, with a lot of color and vividness. The layout of the table and associated icons is easy to follow and easy to use. Among the noted features is an indicator on the bet slider bar for the size of the pot, so you can quickly and easily bet that amount. They also offer an all-in button, but you can select to disable it in the options.

TitanPoker offers a buddy list, hand history, the ability to take notes on other players, and the ability to select an avatar for your player from about 20 different types (including a cowboy, a baseball player, and a mafia man!). TitanPoker lets you play 3 table simultaneously.

PlayTech and Titan Poker offer the following games: Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, and 7 Card Stud. Among the tournaments, they offer sit-n-goes, multi-table tournaments, heads-up matches, a multitude of qualifiers, and a lot of guaranteed tournaments.

The software is relatively reliable, however there have been noted occasions of slowdowns, server lag, and various other back end issues that may interrupt your game. They have recently been updating the software and their systems to provide a more trouble-free playing experience, so hopefully these issues are resolved or on the way to be resolved.

Competition:

The competition at Titan Poker (and the shared iPoker/Playtech sites) is very soft, with many poor players; particularly at the lower limits. Even moving up in limits, you very rarely encounter ‘sharks’, and most players seem willing to pay large sums of money to chase 1-3 out gutshot straight draws. Without a doubt, Titan Poker is a place to make money if you’re capable of picking your spots well and focusing on playing cards correctly.

Security:

Titan Poker is based out of regulated by the government of Antigua. They are also regulated by several online gaming commissions, and due to the shared Playtech software and iPoker network, they have known reliability and shared security.

The software and associated network utilize 128-bit encryption, ensuring your data is secure and protected.

Support:

Titan Poker offers 24/7 e-mail support with a quick response time and accurate answers. They also offer a toll-free support number for U.S. and U.K. players. Along with these, they offer a live online support chat from within the software application itself as well.

Deposits/Withdrawal:

The minimum deposit at Titan Poker is $20. To deposit, you are given the following choices: Credit Cards, CentralCoin, Citadel, Neteller, Moneybookers, Firepay, Instadebit, and bank wire transfer.

You can withdraw to any of the above options except a credit card, along with the option of obtaining a cashier’s check or ACH draft for an additional fee. You can also request a bank wire transfer out or Western Union for a $25 fee.

Summary

TitanPoker is an online poker room dedicated to the player. They continually run bonuses, promotions, freerolls, and other incentives to attract and retain a player base. Couple this with the loose games and lots of action found at TitanPoker and it makes a lot of sense to play here because of it.
