So how do you earn Poker Stars Frequent Player Points?

When you are actively playing at any real money table you will be earning FPP's. Poker Stars gives FPP's out differently depending on the blinds and number of players dealt in the hand. In general, if you are playing at a FL $1/2 or less table you will receive 1 FPP when the rake reaches $.40. That is the maximum amount of FPP's/hand you can earn at these levels because the rake is capped at $1. If you are playing at a PL/NL $1/2 or less table the first point also is earned when the rake equals $.40. Since the cap rake at these tables is $3 you will can another FPP when the rake reaches $2. Earning 3 FPP’s in one hand is only possible at the high stakes tables.

You will also earn 5 FPP’s for every $1 in tournament and SitnGo fees you pay. Below is an example of how it works:

  • If you play in the $50+5 tournament or SitnGo, you will earn 25 (5 X 5) FPP's.

Lets take a look to see how long it takes to clear the bonus at these popular tables:

  • $.50/1.00 No Limit Texas Hold'em - (6 seat table)
  • $1.00/2.00 Fixed Limit Texas Hold'em - (6 seat table)

Examples of Clearing the Marketing Bonus Code at Poker Stars.com

$.50/1.00 No Limit Texas Hold'em - (6 seat table) poker stars marketing code

At these tables the average pot size is around $20 and the average hands/hour is 100. Poker Stars takes out $.05 of rake for every $1.00 in the pot. That would mean the rake for the average pot ($20) would be $1.00 but you would only receive 1 FPP since you only surpass the $.40 mark. The pot would need to equal $40 for you to receive 2 FPP's. So at 1 FPP/hand and 100 hands/hour you will earn 100 FPP's/hour. This means you will earn around $10.00 of your bonus for every hour you play at these limits.

  • A $20 bonus would take around 2 hours to clear.
  • A $35 bonus would take around 3 1/2 hours to clear.
  • A $50 bonus would take 5 hours to clear.

$1.00/2.00 Fixed Limit Texas Hold'em - (6 seat table)

This means you will earn around $11.00 of your bonus for every hour you play at these limits.

  • A $20 bonus would take around 1 hour & 45 minutes hours to clear.
