Robert Mizrachi wins First WSOP bracelet in $10K PLO Event

Robert Mizrachi, better known as “The Grinder’s Little Brother” has brought the first WSOP gold bracelet into the Mizrachi household, beating out a tough field of over 300 entrants, and a final table that held Patrick Antonius, Doyle Brunson, and Marco Traniello, who we think we have to stop referring to as “Mr. Jen Harman” now that he’s made three final tables this year.

Everyone was one hand to see if Texas Dolly could catch up to Phil Hellmuth’s record of 11 bracelets, but it was not to be for the living legend, as he was eliminated in 5th. Brunson had more bracelets than the rest of the final table combined, and then some! His ten bracelets made the final table average more than one bracelet per player, but everyone else at the table was playing for their first!

The day was all about Mizrachi, though, as he started the day with the chip lead, lost it midway through the day, then doubled through Antonius at a key juncture to put him back into contention when play got short-handed. Mizrachi’s cheering section grew bigger and rowdier as the day progressed, ensuring that somewhere in Vegas last night, there was a monster of a celebration.
