Revised WSOP Payout Structure

May 14, 2007 on 7:18 am | In WSOP, Poker News |

The 2007 WSOP will have a different payout structure then past wsop tournaments giving players who make the money more winnings. They have changed the payout structure after listening to past players who complained that they spent many hours playing a tournament and when they finally cash in, they received little over what they put in.

In the case of the 2006 WSOP, if the new payout structure had been in place 846 players would have won substantially more money. With more money going towards the entire field in general players at the final table will receive less money. To put this in perspective the winner of the wsop main event in 2006 would have won $10 million down from $12 million.
