Big Bracelet Weekend, Elezra wins first, Ivey misses #7

In a big weekend at the World Series of Poker, cash game stud Eli Elezra took down his first bracelet in 7 card Stud Hi/Lo, winning not only a pile of cash and some new bling, but winning a $20,000 prop bet with Barry Greenstein on whether or not he would win his first bracelet this year! Elezra bested former Main Event champ Scotty Nguyen heads-up to win his first piece of WSOP jewelry, and it was all ovah, baby.

And Sunday, feared tournament phenom Phil Ivey was within a few spots of taking down bracelet #7 in the $5,000 HORSE event but couldn’t overcome 28-year-old New Yorker Ralph Schwartz, who went heads-up with long-time pro Bill Gazes to take down his first bracelet after a marathon day two which saw the HORSE event start and hour late due to the crowds for the $1,500 No Limit Hold ‘Em event and play until 4AM. Schwartz took the chip lead into Day 3 and held on for the win after eight hours of play.
