Potential US Online Gambling Exemptions

Democratic Rep. Robert Wexler will introduce legislation that will carve out skill games in the UIGEA that was passed last year. The skill games will include: poker, bridge, chess and mahjong. The bill was revealed yesterday the day before the house has a hearing on Sen. Barney Franks online gambling legislation that would essentially repeal the UIGEA. Many heads of online payment processors will be presenting on Friday about the current law and the effects that it has on their business.
