Party Poker in Talks with US Gambling DOJ
June 5, 2007 on 10:22 pm | In Poker News |PartyGaming the company behind Party Poker is currently in talks with US authorities about the UIGEA and if the company will face charges from the US for offering online poker to US citizens. PartyGaming has said they have been in contact with the Attorney’s office in New York but say it is too early to predict the outcome. This case will set a precendent for other gambling companies and it is almost certain that if the US goes after PartyGaming there will be many more suits against US gambling operators.
Update: 888 has also sent out a press release that they have also been talking to US authorities.
