CEO Poker Tour to Compete With WSOP

May 31, 2007 on 1:15 am | In Poker News |

Everyone knows that June and July is the busiest times for poker in Las Vegas and it is because of the WSOP. CEO Poker plans to challenge that with a poker tournament on July 2-9 with buy-in’s from $500 - $2,500. They are trying to market the tournament as a cheaper alternative to the WSOP. They will be giving away bracelets and trophies but no mention of the prize pool. They are looking at this tournament as a chance for executives to network without having to pony up the cash for playing in the WSOP. You will need to pre-register online to play in this tournament.
