Poker Industry has found a friend at Capital Hill

It looks like we have a new hope in the poker industry and it is former senator Alfonse D’Amato. The Poker Players Alliance is looking to inlist him with the backing of poker rooms (Poker Stars and Full Tilt) to help lobby for a carve out for poker in new legislation. D’Amato held a weekly poker game at his office during his term as a senator and is a fan of the game which was a big key in the selection of him being the main lobbiest for the industry. He understands that poker is a game of skill and has an interest in the game.
