Online Gambling Regulation in the UK

The US has decided that they are going to prohibit online gambling in the US. This method has never worked in the past (alcohol prohibition) but that has not stopped the US government from trying. The UK on the other hand is dealing with the problem the right way and are regulating and taxing online gambling companies. I guess the US just doesn’t need the money as the billions that could be raised by taxing gambling just doesn’t seem to interest the US. What are your thoughts? Are we throwing a great opportunity out the window to tax and regulate gaming? It seems we have the biggest deficit ever with a war that we can barely support…
