Ladbrokes will not buy 888
April 24, 2007 on 8:36 am | In Online Poker Play, Poker News |There have been rumors that Ladbrokes where in discussion with 888 to acquire the online casino company. Today, they announced that they no longer in talks and they would continue to operate separate. The talks were interrupted when the UIGEA was passed and the companies had to re-evaluate their companies. Since then, 888 bounced back from the loss of US players with a strong presence in the foreign gambling market. Ladbrokes also saw a profit as it caters to the UK market which was not effected by the US legislation.
