JJ=Defeat
March 21, 2006 on 7:32 am | In Online Poker Play |Recently I have been playing multi table poker tournaments and the last couple tournaments I have been losing with pocket jacks. I may be playing them wrong but whatever it is, its been one a bad couple of tournaments. I usually start out with a raise of 3 to 4 times the big blind and get usually 1 caller. To my dismay I have lost pretty much everytime to starting hands such as: AA (understandable), AK (well two over cards), K10 (well he did have some out’s)…. It’s been a rough dry spell. The last tournament I had JJ, I went all-in hoping to steal the blinds and not play anyone… well, I got a call from another player who held 10-J ( and I am thinking “this is going to hurt if I lose to this hand”) but I had hope and I was in the mindset of this may be the first win with JJ in awhile. But again…two tens showed up on the flop…another tournament loss. The moral of the story…Pocket JJ’s are not my favorite hand… At this point I would rather get 72 off suit and at least it will be an easy lay down and I will be in the tournament for that much longer…
