Barney Frank To Try To Overturn Entire Online Gambling Law

April 15, 2007 on 8:22 am | In Online Poker Play, Poker News |

It was not know whether Barney Frank, the senator of MA, who is fighting to overturn the UIGEA was pushing for a poker carve out or overturning the entire bill. Well today he clarified to pokernews that he will be pushing to overturn the entire bill that was introduced last year and is not looking to make online poker an exception. He stated that with the recent WTO ruling he will be able to better fight for new legislation and he plans to introduce a bill on April 18th.  This is a step in the right direction and a good sign for the online gambler who thinks that eventually the US will come around and look to legalize and regulate online gambling as it would be a great source of tax revenue.
