South Carolina to legalize in-house poker games?

It looks like South Carolina may soon legalize in-house poker games if all goes well for representative Wallace Scarborough, R-Charleston who is currently drafting the bill to update South Carolina’s out of date gambling laws. There are precautions on his part to make sure the new legislation would not have legal loop holes for gambling houses to open as this is just to change the out of date laws that currently make house games illegal. This new legislation partly stems from a house game broken up by law enforcement last year which led to 22 people being arrested in the poker raid.
