Joe Navarro, who worked for the FBI for 25 years is taking his skills he learned as an FBI agent to the poker table. Joe Navarro as an FBI agent learned to read people’s body language. When he is not teaching his techniques at seminars he is at casinos watch poker players play. He doesn’t gamble himself but writes what he finds in a notebook while he watches for hours to pick up the smallest tells. He has written a book that can be found at Navarro Poker that can help players better read their opponents.

Poker professionals have learned from Navarro including T.J. Cloutier and Antonio Esfandiari who both praise the book. The book “Read ‘em and Reap” has already sold 30,000 copies since its release in November and many think it has influenced the game. With poker being such a high stakes game players will do anything to get an edge. This means going to seminars and reading books with the hope of improving their all around poker game that could mean millions of dollars in cash games or tournaments.
