Poker Now a Sport in Russia

Russia has just declared that poker is a sport by Slava Fetisov the “Federal agency of physical culture and sport”. This may allow casinos to not have to pay per poker table ($4800 per month) and also wages and food. Another big impact of the current decision is this may allow poker tournaments to be exempt from the gambling bill that was sponsored by President Putnam. Story from Poker Pages.
