Cashless Poker Machines
May 16, 2007 on 6:46 am | In Live Poker, Poker News |In Australia, they have been trying to find ways to help identify problem gamblers. With the new cashless poker machines gamblers are giving a print out (ticket) and are able to cash this into a cashier for money. This will allow players and the casino to track their play and find out if a guest has a gambling problem. The new poker machines would also help reduce armed robberies since people will not be caring around cash but tickets. This looks to be one of the first steps to converting casinos to a cashless system. The machines have been in trial period and will start to roll out in the next couple months.
