2007 WSOP Main Event 10,000 Entrants?
March 15, 2007 on 10:08 pm | In Live Poker, WSOP, Poker News |The WSOP organizers are planning for 10,000 entrants in this year’s WSOP Main Event. It would be a 14% increase in entrants from last year which had 8,773. This is wishful thinking on the WSOP organizers part because of the recent closing of US players to play at some of the bigger online poker rooms: Party Poker, Paradise Poker, Poker Room, Titan Poker. My guess is this year the wsop main event will have 5k-6k players. I will be pleasantly surprised if I am wrong because the bigger the tournament the better but I just don’t see it happening at this point.

On the comment about the number of entrants for WSOP 07 main event. Can you clarify what you mean when you say “the recent closing of US players to play at some of the bigger online poker rooms”
This is shocking news to me as i have a substantial bet on there being over 10000 entrants !!!
